'Ted Lasso' Season 4: Jamie Tartt and Danny Rojas in Talks for Guest Appearances
With Ted Lasso undergoing a notable on-field shift in its storyline, the status of many beloved characters from the first three seasons remains in question. Season 4 of the hit Apple TV+ series will feature Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) coaching a women's team after spending three years as the men's AFC Richmond manager.
While names like Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) were confirmed as returning by Deadline, the same can't be said for a few other notable characters.
However, while there has been no confirmation on Lasso's friend-turned-enemy (and then friend again) Nick Mohammed (Nathan Shelley), there was an update on two other high-profile names: Jamie Tartt and Danny Rojas.
Phil Dunster, who plays Tartt and Cristo Fernandez (Rojas), are two names specifically highlighted by Deadline as already having been part of conversations to return for Ted Lasso Season 4 in guest appearances.
While it appears that Dunster and Fernandez have a real chance to return in some fashion for Season 4, there has been little revealed about other former players from the team.
Tartt and Rojas became fan-favorites, with the former taking center stage effectively from the beginning of Season 1. Tartt transformed his game from being a score-first, pass-second player to becoming a beloved member of AFC Richmond. He was initially on loan to Richmond from Manchester City, and after another stint with Manchester City, returned to join Lasso and company.
